our long distance travel guide

Let’s get to London, Ontario Canada

We are beyond lucky to have so many friends from different countries, states & provinces joining us! As long distance pros, let us help with your travels to London, ON (where we recommend staying).

Airports

The best airports for your travel are Detroit, DTW, or Toronto, YYZ, airports. (London ON, YXU, does have a very small airport which may have some limited flights.)

Getting from the Airport to London, ON

London is 2-2.5 hours from both airports. Car rentals or buses are the best way to get from the airport to London.

Car Rentals

Enterprise & Avis are our favourites! They will allow you to drive the car cross border, just inform them prior. Free shuttles are readily available to/from any of the car rental facilities to either airport.

Robert Q Bus

For travellers landing in Toronto this is a great budget friendly option that will take you directly to the Robert Q terminal in downtown London.

Hired Drivers

There are companies who pickup from YYZ or DTW. With a group these can be reasonable options. Recommended driver TBA, check back.

Road trip details from Knoxville, TN

For our Knox family, we have driven many times & it is about a 9 hour drive to downtown London, ON. If you want to split up the drive we recommend Waupokoneta, OH as a good stopping point with many affordable hotel options
(Bonus- there is a Buc-ees half way to Waupokoneta)

Just text us any questions!

Collectively we have travelled (many many times) to London from Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, & Europe so we probably have a travel hack/tip if you need one.
